Description
Plastic End Closure Drip Trim for Polycarbonate Roof Sheets
Choice of colour and sheet thickness
Protect and Professionally Finish Your Roofing Sheets
Durable 1-metre uPVC End Closure Trim designed to protect and neatly finish the open ends of polycarbonate roofing sheets and compatible glazing units. Ideal for conservatories, canopies, carports, pergolas, lean-to roofs and other pitched or free-standing roofing projects.
Installed at the gutter end of the roof, the trim forms a protective barrier against water, dirt and insects. Its front drip edge directs rainwater away from the underside of the roofing sheet, while drainage holes help condensation and trapped moisture escape.

Preparing the Roofing Sheet
Before installation, ensure the polycarbonate sheet or glazing unit is clean and completely dry. Pay particular attention to the upper surface, as this is where the trim may be sealed with silicone.
Using Anti-Dust Breather Tape
When fitting the trim to a multiwall polycarbonate sheet, the open flutes should first be sealed with suitable anti-dust breather tape.
Breather tape allows air movement and condensation drainage while helping to prevent dust, insects, algae and mould from entering the sheet. As breather tape is not weatherproof by itself, it should be covered and protected with an End Closure Trim.
Replace any missing, damaged or deteriorated breather tape before fitting the closure.
Installation Instructions
- Measure the width of the roofing sheet.
- Cut the End Closure Trim to the required length using a suitable fine-toothed saw.
- Remove any cutting swarf or debris from the trim and roofing sheet.
- Push the trim securely onto the open end of the sheet.
- Apply a small, continuous bead of polycarbonate-compatible silicone along the upper edge where required.
- Ensure the drainage holes remain unobstructed and face downwards.
Important: Always use silicone specifically suitable for polycarbonate. Some standard silicone products can release chemicals that may damage or cloud the sheet.
Additional Fitting Advice
Where the End Closure rests across glazing-bar gaskets, a small section of the lower drip edge may need to be carefully removed at each glazing-bar position. This helps the roofing sheet sit correctly and evenly on the gasket.
